For educational projects in North Cambodia
The Stung Treng Foundation supports small scale education projects with a focus on improving the quality of primary education. This is done in collaboration with the management and staff of the local teacher training college, the RTTC (Regional Teacher Training Center).
The foundation is named after one of the poorest provinces in Cambodia and is also the name of the town where the RTTC is located. In two years the students at the RTTC are trained to become primary school teachers and after graduation they start their teaching careers at schools in rural areas. Many of these schools lack basic teaching tools such as pens, paper, markers and text books.
With the aid of sponsoring and incidental donations we fund small projects to help improve the quality of primary education in these rural areas.
Because better education gives children a chance to a better future.
